Amazingly soft Marshmallow blend of 51% polyester and 49% nylon only gets softer with time.
This is a super nice cardigan. It fit my wife really well and is super comfortable to wear. I would definitely recommend getting. This is a lovely, very soft, light-weight sweater. I like the length and it feels very warm and snuggly. I have heard of Softies but have only recently had the opportunity to try anything from this brand. I have a lounge set that I received a few days ago and it is quite pricey but impeccably made, so I was very interested in this sweater when it became available for review. I am 5'4" tall and wear a size 14. I ordered this sweater in size XL/XXL (the tag on the sweater says XL). It is generously sized and I do think a size L might have been a better fit and a bit more flattering, but that is okay as I have plenty of room to layer a long sleeved top and a flannel shirt or sweatshirt underneath this sweater. I chose the heather grey version and the color is very pale and works with just about anything in my wardrobe. The sweater provides a light degree of warmth; it is very nice to wear indoors if it is a bit chilly or on cool days outside. This is not a sweater I would wear when it is cold or windy outdoors.I'm aghast at the price, though. I guess I have a hard time seeing microfiber (that is what polyester and nylon technically is, right?) as a luxury fabric. This "Wellness Fabric" is apparently a Softies exclusive and although it is very nice, I really can't imagine paying $109.00 for this sweater. I have lovely merino wool sweaters and 100% organic cotton sweaters that cost about the same as this one or less. I would also expect top-notch construction in a sweater in this price range. And for the most part, this is the case. But the buttonholes are absolutely terrible -- I have taken one star off the ratings of sweaters that cost $30.00 for buttonholes like this. They are literally gaping holes with no finishing whatsoever. I do like how easy-case this sweater is. It can be machine washed and line dried and it comes out looking just like new. I'm glad I got the chance to try this sweater and see what all the fuss is about since items from this brand has been chosen as Oprah's favorite things several times (hopefully not this sweater, though). Although the fabric feels wonderfully soft, I don't think it feels anything like cashmere, and I also think the sweater is considerably overpriced. This is definitely cozy and comfortable as described. However, I had much higher hopes on the fit and attractiveness, especially for the price. That is just on my body type though, it looks great on the model but I am curvy with a larger chest. It makes me look like a marshmallow as the name suggests! It makes me look heavier, my arms fatter, etc. The knit is really chunky. The quality is excellent, I can't deny that. The materials are very nice and it's put together very well, no flaws. It makes an excellent lounging piece, especially in the cold weather we're having now, but it's so difficult for me to lay around in a piece over $100! If I had been able to try on in store, I would have passed but that's the difficulty of ordering online.I ended up donating this because my husband’s immediate comment was that this made me look like a granny. (I’m not a granny.) It is very soft, though it has an odd feel to it that I didn’t actually like. Still, if you are going for comfort and warmth, you should be satisfied. I agree with an earlier reviewer that the buttonholes are sub-par.I will upload a few pictures of the tags and a close-up.But that’s JustMe. (I received this product in exchange for an honest review, and that is what I have offered here.)This sweater is soft and comfortable, but very overpriced for a basic chenille cardigan. The button holes are too small for the oversized buttons, so buttoning/ unbuttoning is not quick, and two of my buttons are already loose because of it (after only 2 weeks of wear). The pockets are functional, and deep enough for a smart phone. The sizing runs small. I am 5 foot 7, weigh 165 pounds, have a 36C bust, and wear a US women's size 10 (medium at Old Navy and H&M); I ordered this sweater in the "Large-X-Large" size, and it just does fit. Any smaller, and the buttons would be pulling. The length on me is right above my knees. The neckline is much higher than it appears on the model, where it appears to be a slight "V" or scoop-neck. With the sweater fully buttoned, it is a crewneck that covers the collarbone (not a bad thing, just different than the description photos, and something to be aware of). It doesn't look like a sweater to wear out and about, but a bathrobe (though that might be due in part to the light blue "heather spring lake" color?).In any case, this sweater is soft and comfortable to wear, but terribly unflattering to my apple shaped body, and no more special than any chenille sweater. I would not recommend it at the current ~$109 price. This sweater is so incredibly soft and heavy-making it very warm but not bulky. (I’m in Wisconsin so sweaters are a way of life:) The color is a true ivory/winter white which is beautiful. It washed up perfect on cool, gentle cycle and air dried on a drying rack. My only issue is that the size options to order do not match the tags. The options were s/m or m/l. I opted for the s/m as my normal cardigan size is medium, sometimes small ( so they aren’t super bulky and sloppy. The tag clearly says small. I would’ve ordered this one in a medium had the options matched the tags. For the price point of this sweater, you should be able to accurately order the size you want, not guess. This cardigan is amazing! It's long, so it's more like a duster, especially on my petite frame. The white color with the light tortoise buttons is super pretty. The fabric is unreal. It's so soft and cozy, that it feels like I'm wearing a luxury bathrobe, but it's a sweater so I can wear it to work! I can't rave enough about the comfort, I absolutely love it. You do have to hang or line dry, but it is machine washable, which is great.Marshmallow is a good description for this sweater. is is lush and soft. It's warm and looks nice on. Runs large.
